Blessing’s expertise spans various aspects of Nigeria’s intellectual property (IP) law. She assists brands in protecting their IP rights, conducts IP audits and valuations, performs patent due diligence, drafts IP policies and contracts, handles IP licensing, and provides guidance on IP management and commercialization strategies. Blessing has advised on different patent licensing deals, particularly in the context of patent due diligence for companies considering licensing an innovation, and her experience in this regard makes her a valuable asset to the Firm. Her experience with patent licensing deals gives her a deep understanding of the legal and commercial issues involved, as well as the ability to negotiate complex agreements.

Additionally, Blessing has significant experience in the field of data protection. She offers advice on GDPR and Nigerian data protection laws. She is skilled at investigating and analyzing data collection processes, identifying gaps in data protection procedures and documentation, and drafting watertight data protection remediation documents such as data privacy policies, data processing agreements, data breach policies, and data impact assessment templates. Blessing has trained employees of organizations on data protection principles and obligations and has conducted several data protection audits from the commencement through to the implementation and reporting stage for renowned companies.

Blessing offers valuable counsel to producers of high-grossing films. She provides production counsel services cutting across music clearance, chain-of-title investigations, music clearance, and drafts and reviews agreements such as licensing agreements, music publishing contracts, film production contracts, and talent contracts.

Blessing is a member of the Technology and Intellectual Property Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business Law and Intellectual Property Law Association of Nigeria (IPLAN), both of which are responsible for observing and interfacing with the regulators on legislative developments in the intellectual property space.
