About

Fatihat Yakubu is a Trainee Associate in Jackson, Etti & Edu's Corporate Commercial Department, practising within the Banking & Finance and General Commercial Units. She advises Nigerian and multinational clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including corporate mergers and acquisition, energy and projects, taxation, banking and finance and general commercial advisory.

Prior to joining the Corporate Commercial Department, Fatihat gained experience across the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Regulatory, Compliance & Governance, and Intellectual Property Departments. Her work included advising local and international clients on intellectual property protection and enforcement, trademark prosecution and contentious proceedings, technology-related disputes, corporate governance, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) compliance, market entry strategies, and regulatory matters.

Fatihat graduated with a First Class degree from the Nigerian Law School. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Lagos, graduating with Second Class Honours (Upper Division). Her multidisciplinary experience enables her to provide commercially sound advice that considers both the legal and business implications of complex matters.
