He is a young solution-oriented lawyer who brings a fresh perspective and energy to his practice of law. With sound analytical skills meshed with the knowledge of the law, enthusiasm and determination, Justice navigates challenges with the aim of finding solutions which advance the short and long-term interests of client, while being still rooted in law.
In his two-year span as a lawyer, Justice has amassed a notable amount of experience, representing clients effectively and providing legal expertise to help them navigate situations that would hitherto have presented legal labyrinths.
As a Graduate Trainee, Justice’s time at JEE has involved training spanning the various departments in the firm. He began his trainee role attached to the Intellectual Property (IP) Department where he imbibed the tenets necessary for the protection, commercialisation and protection of IP rights. He garnered skill and experience in the conduction of IP due diligence, drafting licensing and assignment agreements and providing IP advisories to clients.
In the second ambit of his training phase, Justice worked with the Corporate & Commercial Department, where he was attached to two units; the Corporate Mergers & Acquisition (CM& A) and Bank & Finance (BFI) Units respectively. In this dual role, he engaged in multiple Public and Private merger transactions, ranging from conducting due diligence and advising in Mergers and the formation of bodies such as consortiums and funds. He also advised on multiple banking matters and prepared contracts on banking related issues.
Afterwards, as part of his training, Justice worked with the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, particularly the Brand Protection unit. Here he represented clients in court, drafted processes and advised clients on how best to protect their brands, organisational image & reputation and the best lines of action to take against infringing persons.
Justice is presently undergoing his final cycle in the graduate trainee programme, working with the Regulatory, Compliance and Governance department. He is gaining vital knowledge and skill in the formulation and management of organisations and ensuring that their business practices are within the confines of the law.
