As Intellectual Property Partner, Sector Head of Health & Pharmaceuticals, and Head of Sectors at Jackson, Etti & Edu, Chinyere is a distinguished legal practitioner with deep expertise in IP Law, recognized both in Nigeria and internationally.
Chinyere is a pioneer in her field, serving as the inaugural Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Committee of the NBA Section on Business Law. She earned widespread respect for her advocacy in modernizing Nigeria's IP landscape, with peers noting that "you can't speak about IP in Nigeria without mentioning Chinyere."
Chinyere led the firm's transformation to a sector-based approach as Head of Sectors, developing a strategy that combines legal expertise with sector knowledge to enhance client value. She now oversees strategy alignment, business development, and policy implementation to keep the firm competitive and responsive to global trends.
As Sector Head of Health & Pharmaceuticals, Chinyere provides medico-legal guidance to healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and medical professionals on regulatory compliance, medical ethics, and risk management. She advises on legal frameworks for patient care, professional conduct, and institutional operations, and has expertise in resolving disputes related to medical negligence and regulatory infractions. She has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria.
Chinyere is a leader, mentor, and advocate for female representation and equality. She served on the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum, first as Vice Chairperson and then Chairperson, driving initiatives to advance female lawyers' careers. She's been recognized as a leading female professional, featured in lists such as Nigeria's 50 Most Influential Women in Law and 20 Outstanding Women in Business Law.
