Mercy’s expertise encompasses commercial IP transactions and strategic advisory services, showcasing strong skills in negotiating and managing a variety of IP and commercial agreements, including IP licensing, music financing, brand licensing, film production, as well as transactions including technology/software acquisition and transfer of IP assets in mergers and acquisitions. A career highlight includes playing a key role in a team of legal experts on an IP rights clearance project involving over 6,000 digital content assets for Nigeria’s largest telecommunications company.

Mercy has led data protection compliance audits and training sessions for diverse organizations, providing tailored remediation plans and policy documentation to ensure regulatory alignment.

Mercy has also volunteered with a renowned global tech and social impact company, providing legal advice on international regulatory compliance, managing copyright infringement claims, and guiding data privacy compliance and breach remediation in line with both local and international legal frameworks.
