About
Nander Esmeralda Ndam is a government relations strategist and technology policy lawyer advising companies, investors, and multinational organizations on regulatory strategy, digital market entry, and public sector engagement across Nigeria's evolving digital economy.
Here at Jackson, Etti & Edu, she shapes how clients navigate complex regulatory environments at the intersection of technology, innovation, and law. She leads high-level engagements with Nigeria's most consequential public institutions, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, and the National Assembly, advising on regulatory compliance, policy positioning, and government-facing strategy. To date, she has supported transactions and regulatory processes exceeding $20 million, mitigating risk and unlocking market access for clients operating in highly regulated and innovation-driven sectors.
Beyond client advisory, she has contributed to the architecture of Nigeria's digital policy itself. She has presented at the World Intellectual Property Organisation on the implications of emerging technologies for IP systems globally.
Nander holds a Master's degree in Intellectual Property Development Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, where she studied as a WIPO-sponsored scholar. Her research examined how IP and regulatory frameworks shape AI innovation, digital platforms, and cross-border trade, topics that directly inform her practice today.
Sitting at the convergence of law, policy, and technology, Nander is one of a small cohort of African lawyers building the regulatory infrastructure for the next generation of digital economies, advising on AI governance, platform regulation, and the conditions under which emerging market enterprises can scale globally.
