Sope has extensive experience in energy projects, including:

  • Transaction Negotiation: Negotiating complex deals and drafting legal and contractual documents for various energy projects

  • Contract Expertise: Experience with product sharing contracts, crude purchase and handling agreements, marginal field development, power procurement, gas sales and purchase agreements, and more.

  • Corporate Structuring: Providing legal advisory services on corporate structuring for entities involved in energy transactions.

  • Commercial Advisory: Advising on a wide range of general commercial matters related to energy projects.

Sope has extensive experience managing the legal portfolio of a prominent oil servicing company, as Operations Counsel for West Africa Geomarket. She's known for her thorough research skills and client-focused approach, providing bespoke solutions to corporates on complex commercial issues that impact their core business operations.

Sope is a recipient of the "Rising Star Award" in the 40 under 40 category at the ESQ Nigeria Legal Awards and is ranked as a "Notable Practitioner" in the 2024 IFLR1000 rankings.
